Objective
My objective in the sport of cricket is to
become a top-line national player. I am currently looking for an
opportunity that will enhance my cricket abilities, and to that
end I am exploring overseas cricket options. My cricket role
model is Sachin Tendulkar for his accomplishments in batting,
his awesome fielding skills, and his spin bowling. He is also my
role model because he knows the mental part of the game and is a
great all-round player.
Origin
I was born in
Edmonton,
Alberta, Canada
on May 20, 1983.
History
In 1995 I attended an
Under 19 Training Camp
in
Vancouver,
BC, Canada.
Dating back to 1996 I played in numerous
Under 25 Premier
Provincial Matches in
Edmonton,
Alberta.
From 1997 to 2004 I represented Alberta
in the Western Canadian
Championship and the
Under
18 National Canadian Tournament (Canada Cup)
from 1997 to 2000. I captained the Alberta Team in the
Canada Cup from 1998 to 2000 and was selected for the
Canada Under 19 Team
in 2001 against Bermuda, but the tour was subsequently cancelled. In 2002
I was again selected for the
Canada Under 19 Team
that toured Jamaica,
and had the privilege to play against teams from
Guyana,
Jamaica, USA, Barbados,
and the Windward Islands.

Education & Background
I was brought up playing cricket from the
young age of four, and started playing First Division cricket at
the age of twelve. My father (a well established cricketer and
coach for Edmonton),
has been my personal coach for most of my life. Another coach
that has helped me is Mr. Christie Marathalingam, who is the
National Under 19 coach and selector for Canada. I have also had the
opportunity to be coached by Mr. Larry Gombs of the West Indies
who recently attended the
Under 19 Canadian Tour to
Jamaica.
Present
Time
I recently finished the 2004 cricket
season. I captained the Under 25 Edmonton Team in a three-day test match against the City of
Calgary and led the team to a victory. I
also set a provincial record for the season by scoring 1,491
runs. I currently play in the Premier Division for Gujarat
Cricket Club, and in the First Division for Strathcona Cricket
Club, this year's First Division champions. I had a great season
with playing 30 games, making 5-100's, and achieving 12-50's
with an average of 85.91. I have been nominated by Mr. Chris
James, the senior Canadian selector, for future Canadian
tryouts.
